A little history about the S6 Plus - “With a total production run of approximately of 952 cars – 855 Avant, and 97 sedans, the Plus was a “kick in the butt” to Porsche, after they refused to collaborate on another project, like the RS2, previously. Audi sent the Avant body, and underpinnings to QuattroGMBH, and dropped in the V8, lightened the car, removed a lot of excess weight, and effectively kicked Porsche’s butt. It was quicker than every Porsche of 1996, except the 993TT.”
