The Portland Immigrant Rights Coalition is a coalition of local immigrant rights, refugee rights, and social justice organizations united to bring an end to detention and deportation of immigrant families. Mission:
Founded in 2006, PIRC is a coalition of immigrants rights and social justice organizations united in the mission of bringing an end to unjust detention and deportation of immigrant family members in our Oregon communities. We are committed to maintain vigil over and end the collaboration between law enforcement agencies and ICE offices and officials aimed at targeting our communities in public spaces and within the justice system. In this special PIRC update, we shine a light on where ICE has been stalking our community and kidnapping our neighbors from big box store parking lots around Oregon this summer.
Nearly 1 in 3 detentions reported to PIRC in August happened at a big box store, and the trend appears to be continuing into September.

URGENT update: people with immigration court dates need to check the date of their next appearance as the government is changing the dates and times without informing respondents in advance.
We recommend folks head to https://acis.eoir.justice.gov/ to check your next court date twice a week!
