So what is ‘Stay Sunny’ anyway?
First, we need to backtrack. To 1986, to be exact. When Kurt and Rob Widmer first began making Portland a bit sunnier, with beer of course. Everyone knows a cold beer is better in the sun, but what if we cold capture that feeling and take it with us? From the beginning, this is what Widmer has sought to do. 🍻
Especially in the rainy PNW, where Widmer’s roots are firmly planted. There’s a special irony in telling a Portlander to ‘Stay Sunny,’ but despite our imperfect conditions, we’re all about optimism (and beer).
This is the beginning of sunnier times at Widmer, tipping the hat to Kurt and Rob, who first saw importance of beer and sunshine together. 🤝
