While the rest of us are getting the boats ready and checking guests in, Eric is making sure the beach chairs are comfortable.

Someone has to test the views, right?

Don’t worry. We eventually convinced him to get up and lead a tour.

More than a decade ago, Derek Lovitch approached us with an idea to combine birding and breweries. We weren’t sure what to expect but we gave it a shot. Today, Birds on Tap has become one of our favorite experiences, introducing countless people to both the incredible birdlife and amazing craft b**r scene that make Greater Portland so special.
