I have no plans to teach online, but it was pretty fun to teach my brother and his family over zoom. They picked it up lightning fast and are now practicing so they can beat the teacher when I see them this summer. I just love sharing mahjong with my people! ❤️
After months of teaching, testing, editing, and refining, my American Mahjong Instructor Curriculum is finally here.

I did not pay them to say nice things about me!! 😂
As I was reading through the anonymous spring league surveys, I kept tearing up. Yes, we played a lot of mahjong over the last six weeks. But what I’m most proud of is the community that formed around the tables.
New friendships. Growing confidence. Familiar faces every Tuesday. People cheering each other on, answering questions, sharing laughs, and just continuing to show up for one another week after week.
Thank you for trusting me with your Tuesday nights. Spring League was something I dreamed about for a long time, and getting to watch it come to life in this way has been incredibly special.
More than mahjong, indeed.

Insanely proud of for winning our inaugural Spring League and taking home this gorgeous Confetti purple tile set from .
One of my favorite parts? She was one of the very last students I taught before league began. Watching players grow in confidence week after week and then seeing it all click into place around the table is the coolest thing. 💜

Congratulations to our Spring League winner !!!
One thing I’m completely geeking out over: the top three spots on the leaderboard included the very first person I ever taught, the very last person I taught before league began, and someone right from the middle of my teaching journey. I just love that.
If you’ve been thinking you’re “not ready” for league play, let this be your reminder that showing up week after week truly matters. There’s no substitute for table time, and the fastest way to improve your game is simply to keep playing.
I lost count of how many times I cried tonight. This group was pure magic. I’m so thankful I got to spend the last six Tuesdays with these incredible humans, and I’m already counting down to Summer League. ☀️
