Mt Pierce trip report from Anne G: "We had a great hike up Mt Pierce with some new folks I hadn't hiked with before. It was a gorgeous day but very windy at the top."

Blueberry Mt Trip Report from Georgann: "Cloudy, but rain held off and the 5 of us had a good time seeing the views. Everyone got their feet and legs in Rattlesnake Pool, 3 of us for a max of 10 seconds, but Linda and Joe were ALL in!"

Fri May 8th at Orchard Ridge Farm in Gorham. MOAC members visited with baby goats and The Maine C**n Cats band played happy step dancing music. A young boy step danced to the delight of the crowd.

Seven MOAC members and two guests walked 1.5 miles to Docks Seafood for dinner with two hours of talented musician Denny Breau's singing and guitar playing. MOAC member Kathie M. sang "Crazy" with Denny to much applause! Then, half the group walked 1.5 miles back to Wainwright Field in South Portland.

Eileen had a nature-filled walk in the Arundel Community Forest on Thursday, along the Eastern Trail to the Kennebunk River Bridge and back. Spring flowers were along the trail and a gushing waterfall was her turn around spot.

MOAC nature lovers had a nice, slow paced exploratory walk at Warren Woods Preserve in Scarborough. We saw cranberries, teaberries and learned the difference between hemlock, spruce and balsam fir. Such a nice, ecologically diverse area on a beautiful day! Thank you Scarborough Land Trust

Bonnie led a group of MOACers up Long Mt (just south of Bethel) on Saturday. Beautiful views of Western Maine and the White Mountains. Interested in hiking? Come join us, or post a trip on your favorite trail. We're always looking for new leaders.

A MOAC walk to a new area - Hamilton Audubon Sanctuary in West Bath! It was a beautiful 3 mile trail, often right along the shore. Thanks for leading Dan!
