Russell Elementary School

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of reading, and speaking to, the staff and students at Russell Elementary School in school district. We read A Quilt is Made of Pieces, and spoke about the importance of culture and diversity. What a beautiful opportunity! Just as heartwarming was the package that arrived today filled with these Thank You cards, handwritten by students and faculty. These mean the world, and YOU are the reason I write. Thank you!

Parkrose Families,

We are excited to announce that the Parkrose School District is adopting a new form of school-to-home communication called ParentSquare. This unified communications platform is designed to keep parents and guardians informed and encourage greater engagement and connection throughout all of our schools. This initiative aligns with the District’s goal to strengthen community engagement. ParentSquare will provide a safe way for District administrators, school principals, teachers, staff, and parents to:

Send messages to teachers and school staff
See calendar events
Sign up to volunteer, complete forms, and RSVP to events
Schedule parent-teacher conferences
and much more… all in one centralized place!

District, school, grade level, and classroom information will be sent to your phone or computer via email and/or text. It will be important that your child’s school has your current email address and mobile phone number so that you do not miss any important information. Contact your child’s school if you are unsure about the contact information on file.

Joining ParentSquare is a breeze. Back in June you should have received an invitation email or text, that allowed you to click the link to activate your account. If you didn't receive an invitation, don't worry. You can register your account now at www.parentsquare.com/signin (just enter your email address on file with your child’s school under “Register” on the right). If you need any assistance, please contact your child’s school to verify your contact information.

You can use ParentSquare on any device and you can download the free mobile app for iOS or Android or use the desktop version at www.parentsquare.com/signin. We encourage you to view the following resources to learn more about how to use ParentSquare:
