8 years ago opened the doors of Smart not knowing one skateboarder in Portland. I did know my love of skating and the culture. I also knew there was a need for a place where youth could hang and explore their passions in skateboarding, music , and art. I am so proud of the community that we have built in that 8 years. It’s not always sunshine and rainbows but at the end of the day it’s you all that make me show up . Thank you to anyone that has supported the shop big or small… 12-4 today ❤️

Thank you to our small community for stepping up for one weekend…. Party lines and religious affiliation do not trump basic human rights. This is not a class or race issue. This is a blatant attack on our mothers , daughters, neighbors, friends, mentors, and the strongest part of our society as a whole. This is the beginning of something irreversible . There is nothing to gain monetarily for being pro human. Pro life or pro choice are no longer in the conversation if this continues . It’s just pro no choice. Again I know we all have our beliefs and we just want the best for all our neighbors and families. But this is a slippery slope to being taken out of the conversation and result completely. I respect all of you and your convictions. But let’s not let life long appointed judges and politicians that we will never meet dictate what happens because we can’t have a conversation make ultimate decisions for us. Blue or Red , Christian or Muslim, Buddhist or agnostic, we all just want love, acceptance, and support. ❤️
