Back in June, we were thrilled to be invited to moderate a conversation hosted by Maine Asian American Community Center and Opera Maine with Emmy Award-winning composer and musician Vanessa Van-Anh Vo and Director Richard Gammon as they mounted the Opera "Bound" by composer Huang Ruo and librettist Bao-Long Chu.
We're now thrilled to share this conversation with the world! In this conversation, we explore Vanessa's artistic journey, her work with traditional Vietnamese instruments, and the power of music to bridge cultures, communities, and lived experiences.
