At what point does every piece of art end? Does it take on its own life once it's viewed by another? Do you control the narrative? Does an artist fall in love with the masterpiece as a separate entity or an extension of the self? Where does the artist end and the art begin?

Most of the time when I am doing simple studies like this I only go in with a loose plan, generally based around some reference images I've cobbled together. Often I don't do any prep work, which can bite me in the ass later sometimes 😬 swipe through to see my loosey goosey thumbnail sketch and notes.
