Today our wine director, .b.frank gave us a comprehensive lesson on all things LOIRE! We tasted through some wonderful offerings from different regions, learned more about soil types, climates of the area and fell deeper in love with Chenin Blanc.
Dana is a wonderful teacher and has turned this rag tag bunch into little wine enthusiasts through her passion alone. So for that, thank you!

The sun has been out and so have all of you! It’s been an incredibly busy, fun week and we have enjoyed telling you the stories of our floating market menu. We’ve met so many great people traveling all over! From New York, San Diego, Miami and Oakland… we know that Portland has endless options for you to choose from so thank you for choosing to spend time with us.

Our Guay Tiew Rua is hearty, comforting and deeply satisfying. Often times it is served in portions like this, because the goal is to eat many bowls. We almost wish we could order a second, third and fourth bowl because it is THAT good.

We are absolutely loving this rosé from .wine. “The Feeder” is exactly what you want to drink when it it between 64-85 degrees (check the weather for this week, what a coincidence!). Two-thirds of the grapes here spend two days on their skins before pressing, while the remaining third was pressed directly. Then it all went into French oak and aged for ten months.
So juicy! Fruit forward! The wildest of wild strawberries! This paired with the warm spices of our guay tiew rua… a match made in heaven. b.frank

thanks for all the love on our last post. We have so much love for both iterations of Langbaan and are very excited to see what Langbaan can be in the future.
