NEW DOOM SCROLL SINGLE "CROOKED NAILS"

Doom Scroll is a hardcore and smooth jazz supergroup consisting of seven goats, each of whom is named Eustace Papadopoulos. Formed under circumstances that remain poorly documented, the group is notable for its unusual combination of aggressive hardcore instrumentation and the sophisticated harmonic vocabulary associated with smooth jazz. All seven members perform exclusively while wearing formal tuxedos.

The individual members are generally distinguished by their respective musical roles rather than by personal identity, as the collective use of the name Eustace Papadopoulos has made reliable identification difficult. Despite this, the group maintains that each member is a separate individual and has rejected speculation that the seven goats are, in fact, the same goat appearing at different points in the lineup.

Doom Scroll’s musical style is characterized by abrupt transitions between heavily distorted riffs, blast beats, restrained jazz passages, and extended sections of polished instrumental improvisation. Their performances are further distinguished by the members’ consistently formal attire and an apparent refusal to acknowledge the inherent contradiction between hardcore music and seven tuxedoed goats performing smooth jazz.

The group has developed a reputation as one of the more unusual supergroups in contemporary underground music, although this distinction has not been formally recognized by any relevant body outside of Flail Records and it's governing satellite entities. Whether or not a vinyl pre-sale is forthcoming is still grounds for speculation amongst most major news organizations.
