✨ First Market of the Year! ✨

We’re kicking off the season on Sunday, March 29th at Maker’s Market at Brick South in Thompson’s Point from 10AM to 3PM.

This will be EverKind’s first event of the year, and we couldn’t think of a better way to start. We’ll be there sharing what EverKind is all about, meeting new faces, and connecting with an amazing community of local artists and makers.

If you’re in the Portland area, come stop by, say hello, and learn a little more about the kindness movement we’re building.

And this is just the beginning! We have a lot planned for 2026, and we can’t wait to bring EverKind to more events, communities, and collaborations throughout the year.

Today we’re highlighting an organization we truly admire: Maine Needs

Maine Needs provides clothing and basic necessities to Mainers in need. They work directly with caseworkers to make sure people receive what they actually need, when they need it.

Supporting organizations doing real, on-the-ground work matters to us.

Maine Needs is one of those organizations.

❤️ Be a Kevin ❤️

Every year for decades, Kevin Fahrman (also known as “The Bandit”) secretly put up bright red hearts all over Portland, just in time for Valentine’s Day, delighting and surprising everyone who woke up on Valentine’s Day.

His gesture of pure love was stealthy and mysterious. Kevin remained totally anonymous, until his passing in 2023.

After his death, his family shared his identity and ensured the tradition would live on through the The Fahrman Foundation, an organization dedicated to continuing Kevin’s legacy of kindness and encouraging others to “Be a Kevin.”

And the most beautiful part?

Portland still wakes up to hearts every Valentine’s Day.

Because what began as one man’s quiet act of love became a movement. A reminder that simple, consistent kindness can shape an entire community.

At EverKind, this is exactly what we believe in and we encourage you to Be a Kevin! ❤️ .A.Kevin

A gentle reminder that we’re still welcoming interest for We Are Still Here: Voices That Refuse to Disappear.

We Are Still Here: Voices That Refuse to Disappear is a storytelling project by EverKind Collective centered on LGBTQ+ lives, presence, and persistence.

At a time when q***r existence continues to be questioned, politicized, and challenged, this project creates space for people to simply be seen and heard, on their own terms. Through filmed interviews, participants share personal reflections on identity, resilience, belonging, and what it means to continue showing up in the world as themselves.

This project is not about headlines, trends, or soundbites. It is about slowing down, sitting together, and listening. Voices across generations, identities, and lived experiences come together to form a collective narrative, one that acknowledges struggle without centering trauma, and celebrates presence without needing permission.

Interviews will be filmed both in person throughout the Northeast and virtually with participants elsewhere. The final project will be released in June 2026 and shared through community screenings, digital platforms, and EverKind Collective’s storytelling channels.

We Are Still Here exists as a reminder, one to ourselves and to others, that visibility still matters, stories endure, and our voices refuse to disappear.

January asked a lot of us.

Some days were cozy, some were exhausting, some were… a lot 😅

So let’s keep it simple: which emoji sums up your January?

Drop it in the comments below and let’s head into February together 💛

We want to highlight a new organization joining the kindness movement: Kindness Happens Here.

Founded by a former journalist in San Diego, Kindness Happens Here exists to do something beautifully simple: share real stories of kindness, generosity, and care happening in communities every day.

At a time when so much of the news feels heavy, they’ve created space for stories that remind us of our shared humanity and the good that still surrounds us.

We’re grateful for organizations like this, noticing, uplifting, and reminding us that kindness is happening all around us 💛

A reminder we all need sometimes:

Rest is not a reward.
Boundaries are not selfish.
Taking care of yourself is part of taking care of others.

Kindness starts at home 💛

Through our year-round toy drive, EverKind helps place toys into the hands of local children who need them most. We partner with community organizations and local children’s hospitals to spread comfort and care throughout the year.

Toy donations are accepted year-round and our Amazon wish list can be found in the link in our bio.

Kindness doesn’t have a season, and neither does giving 💛

Today we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Dr. King was a minister, civil rights leader, and advocate for nonviolence who dedicated his life to fighting racial injustice and inequality. Through courage, compassion, and community organizing, he helped lead the Civil Rights Movement and push this country closer toward justice.

We honor his legacy by remembering that kindness is not passive, it asks us to care, to speak up, and to stand together when it matters.

WE ARE STILL HERE

EverKind Collective is beginning work on We Are Still Here: Voices That Refuse to Disappear, a storytelling project centered on LGBTQ+ lives, presence, and persistence.

This project isn’t about headlines or soundbites.

It’s about sitting down, being seen, and telling your story, in your own words.

We’re creating space for people across generations, identities, and experiences to speak honestly about what it means to exist, to endure, and to still be here.

🎥 Filming will take place between February and May, with the project releasing in June 2026.

📍 In-person interviews will take place throughout the Northeast.

You don’t need a platform.
You don’t need the “right” story.
You just need your truth.

If you’ve ever felt erased, questioned, or pushed to the margins...this project is for you.

📩 Interested in participating?

We are still here. And your voice belongs in this story.

A simple way to practice kindness towards others:

When someone shares something difficult, resist the urge to fix it.

Try instead:

🔵 “I’m really glad you told me.”
🔵 “That sounds hard.”
🔵 “I’m here.”

Sometimes, the kindest thing we can do is simply stay.
