Division Midway Alliance (DMA) worked with a local contractor to install garden beds for mobile home residents. Many of these residents receive services from DMA and have limited access to green spaces where they can grow culturally significant plants and vegetables. This project expanded opportunities for gardening, growing fresh food, and participating in environmental stewardship for residents living in mobile homes.

DMA connected with five residents who were interested in gardening and worked with the contractor to schedule measurement and garden bed installations and select their preferred plants. To support successful gardens, DMA also provided free plants, soil, and fertilizer. Garden beds were installed at residents’ homes so they could begin planting and maintaining their gardens.

This project helped residents create productive garden spaces at their homes, increasing access to fresh produce while encouraging outdoor engagement and environmental stewardship. 🪴 🪏

On Saturday, May 9th, we hosted a successful energy efficiency workshop in partnership with Energy Trust of Oregon!

Community members learned practical ways to save energy at home, reduce utility costs and access valuable resources and programs available through Energy Trust of Oregon. Participants also had the time and support form liaisons to apply for income-qualified energy bill discounts based on their utility provider.
We had 50 participants from diverse communities attend and create a space for access to important resources. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this workshop a success!

On Friday, we partnered with SOLVE to host a Spring Community Cleanup along SE Division from 117th to 125th. From 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, volunteers came together to clean and care for the neighborhood, helping create a cleaner, safer, and more welcoming space for the entire community.

A huge thank you to all of our volunteers for your time, energy, and commitment. This wouldn’t have been possible without you!
