Drenchtown

Two years ago I started Drenchtown Graffiti and shortly after I brought on my brother David Schilling to help me grow it. The goal was and still is, to showcase quality Graffiti Art in PDX and because of this study model our company holds weight in the scene. The Graffiti scene is very simple in regards to one solid fact "Skills", you either have them or you don't. To gain respect your lineage has to be vetted or your skills better be undeniable, game recognizes game. DRENCHTOWN is young but with every show we've proven we are not to be "Slept On" (slang for overlooked). This was our first show poster, wait until you see what we have coming around the corner.

Mayfair worked on another lettering video demo for a project coming soon and this the final product to it.

Over the weekend Mayfair did quick video demos on three different hand styles for a new project. More info to come. These are the two outcomes.

If you missed out on the opportunity to get your hands on a signed print by MEAR ONE there's still hope. Prior to leaving PDX, MEAR signed a limited amount of quality prints of our show. They are available at the Goodfoot for $20 (with signature), $10 (without signature).

Drenchtown Graffiti would like to thank everyone who took the time to support us last night. The show was a great success, the place was packed to the gills all night and we managed to sell 12 paintings opening night. Thank to all the Artists for sharing their art with us and the Portland community. Thank you to A Touch of Bass and Land Rich for sponsoring the raffle for our partners Morpheus Youth Project. MEAR ONE, Los Angeles. Words can't express the honor to have him and his paintings at our show. His history in our culture is stamped in stone and he's a prime example of reaching extreme goals through the love of Graffiti. His work through the years has evolved from street poetry meant to shine a light on the Graffiti Culture. Now his work is intended to make the viewer think beyond our carnal sense and attain a greater knowledge of the spiritual and intellectual self and get us closer to the celestial universe. Voxx Romana is a Portland Graffiti Artist who's quality and volume of work is extremely impressive, yet the one fact which adds to the caliber of his work is his reach. Voxx isn't bound by any city or state, Homie is internationally recognized and respected. Definitely one of my local favorite Artists. It took me forever to choose what to share from his collection. Jason Barnett is a Portland Artist who's work is complex, extremely dark, thought provoking and just like a master at his craft his imagery pulls you in and doesn't let you go until you dive into the mass layers of it's meaning through the cools and warms. As I look at his pieces I can't help to think the world being played out on canvas has extremely live wire tension as though everything in existence is hanging on the balance. Sam Arneson is a Portland Artist who seems to have no limit as to his skill with any media or subject he tackles. Sam's style is remarkable and I personally can't decide whether it's his warped buildings or his characters that are my favorite joints. When he sent in the image of the painting he did for our Graffiti show I was floored. Big, bold, beautiful and insanely detailed. You have to see this piece up close, September 26th at the Goodfoot. Rx00 is a Portland Graffiti Artist. Rx00 is able to elevate photography to a perfect marriage with Graff. His lettering has serious grit to it and you can feel the razor sharp edges. N.O. Bonzo is a Portland Graffiti Artist who originates from The Bay. Those who know their work know there's no introduction needed. A Giant in the scene and a prime example of how to present a message. They work extremely hard to right the wrongs of a social and governmental imbalance through their pen, brush and spray can strokes. We are blessed to have their work adorn our show.
