Fifth graders wrapped up the year in the Woodshed + Art studio by creating one-of-a-kind lamps.

At the end of fifth grade, every student leaves the Beginning Lower School with a lamp they made by hand, turning wood on a lathe, wiring for electricity, and finishing their shades with ice dye, paint, or embroidery.

The result was 45 lamps from scratch to commemorate their time in BLS and mark the start of Middle School. 🪵💡🌟

Last week, we gathered to celebrate the heart of Catlin Gabel – the families, volunteers, and donors who show up, say yes, and make this community extraordinary. 🎉

And to all our incredible volunteers and donors: from hundreds of hours in our libraries and enrollment events to the historic Eagles Soar campaign, your generosity and presence make Catlin Gabel what it is. Thank you. 💙🦅

Last week, National Geographic explorer, environmental scientist, and PBS documentary filmmaker Alize Carrere visited campus. She met with students, toured our pollinator garden and tiny forest, and hosted a Women in STEM lunch, sharing insights from her travels and career.

At Today's PFA Town Hall, Tim and our parent community asked Aline about her vision for Catlin Gabel's future, what builds a strong family-school relationship, and hard-hitting questions like "cats or dogs?" (An easy answer for Aline: dogs, for sure...)
