My darlings. I don’t even know where to begin… I can’t believe I’ve waited so long to post, but in my new spirit of giving myself a GD break every once in a while, I’m not gonna beat myself up about it. Y’all, I got SO TIRED last Fall, and it forced me to make some serious decisions about where to focus my precious little bit of energy left. It took 41 years, but I can finally say I know what Burn Out is now. 😛 You wanna know what the real kick in the ass is? I’ve made some positive changes, took a break from Grandmére, focused on my health more, and 7 months later, I’M STILL SO GD TIRED Y’ALL!!!! Looks like I still have some work to do… don’t give up on me. I haven’t given up on Grandmére, or any of you darlings!!! Much love!! 💕💕💕💕💕💕

I think I say this every time, but OH EM GEEEE!!! What an amazing time we had feeding you last week at Grandmére’s An Evening in Provence. Thank you thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the support and love!! We had more diners than we’ve ever had before, and you had us hustling, but worth every extra iota of energy to prepare this meal full of everything fresh, summery, and Provençal!! Thank you to for hosting and bringing a party of folx, thank you to for front of house badassery and beautiful pics, and thank you to my amazing boh staff, , , and owning the night and kicking so much ass. Have you ever heard of a Calisson?? They are a delightful little almond marzipan candy hailing from Aix en Provence, flavored with candied orange peel, candied Charentais melon, and orange blossom. Meet Le Bon Bon, Tarte ala Calisson, with a layer of that marzipan, orange curd, and Charentais melon mousse. I’ve deconstructed it a little bit for dinner on Sunday so I can serve it in transportable jars, but it will absolutely still blow your mind… also possibly might be served with duck fat cookies, but that’s just a rumor I heard… 😉 See you this Sunday , the weather will be sublime, the food will be divine, and the wine will be delish and plentiful! Simply cannot wait!! 💕💕💕

Y’all!! I am getting SO excited for Grandmere Supper Club: An Evening in Provence Sunday Aug 22!!! Meet courses 1-3. Course 1: Fresh made Tapenade with Picholine Olives, Anchovies, Capers and more… House Made Cultured Butter, served with Baguette and Batard, Radishes and Cornichons. Course 2, a gorgeous Summer Provençal Salad of Local Heirloom Tomato, Shaved Fennel, Haricots Verts, Zucchini Ribbons, Dijon Vinagrette and my Homemade Fresh Cheese with Herbs de Provence. 😍😍 Course 3: Bouillabaisse, the fisherman’s stew of Marseille with Homemade Halibut Broth, fresh Oregon Coast Seafood, and Delicate Flavors of Saffron and Fennel. Swoon!! If you didn’t get a reservation this time, stay tuned for more fun events coming soon. If you did get a reservation to this sold out event… CAN’T WAIT TO FEED YOU!!! Well, my darlings, that escalated quickly!! 😆😆 We are officially SOLD OUT for Grandmére Supper Club: An Evening in Provence on Aug 22nd!! I am SO STINKIN EXCITED to feed you!! It has been too long! More deets to come as we get closer to the event (like, for instance, what should we wear???) Another episode of “A girl can’t live on French Food Alone”…😆 4 years ago, I had the opportunity of a lifetime afforded me by , getting to spend a week galavanting all over Spain, visiting some of the most amazing wineries I’ve ever experienced. It was a truly remarkable trip, guided by the amazing !! I was so honored to be invited to attend the virtual reunion of our trip, to see some old friends, and learn about some new wines. I promised myself I would do this Allanda Blanc justice by preparing the most authentic Pulpo de Gallega that I could to pair with it. And OMG, folx, it turned out beautifully! Swipe left for peeks of the gambas al ajillo and pinxtos that I prepared as well! I love Spain, maybe as much as I love France. 😬😬😬 If you want to learn more about the amazing wines from there, follow . They have some exciting virtual and in person events happening soon! Salud!!

There will also be a small curated wine list with pairings available as well. Think made from scratch…. Tapenade, cultured butter, Salad Provençal with homemade fresh cheese, Bouillabaisse, a seafood lover’s dream, with fennel, potato, saffron and garlic, the spicy garlic-y cousin of aioli called Rouille, and a parfait d’Calisson for dessert, stay tuned for more deets on that one… get your table now!!! 💕💕💕

Exciting news everyone! I’m so honored that will be hosting me for another Supper Club on August 22!! Join us for An Evening in Provence, with all things summery, herby, fresh and singing of the South of France!! I’m bringing back my made from scratch Bouillabaise, the classic seafood stew from Marseille, made with all local Oregon Coast seafood! Full menu to follow soon!! 4 generous courses, $60/person. Could I have packed more strawberry goodness in this butter? I think not, my friends…:) the morning light gives it a special hue, doesn’t it? But don’t be deceived, this beautiful butter isn’t too sweet, it’s a perfect topping for so many things!
