The White Cane Walk for Independence promotes safe, independent travel for individuals using white canes or service dogs.

Manyy communities honor White Cane Awareness Day, or White Cane Awareness Day, by hosting a White Cane Wallk to draw attention to the event and travelers who use a White Cane. It will also promote public awareness of the traffic laws about white cane safety.
