When you’re away, we make sure your pups are cared for like our own 🐾💛
This past weekend, our amazing house sitter Addie stayed with one of our client’s pups, making sure they felt safe, loved, and right at home.
To keep tails wagging (and paws moving!), our dog walkers Nick and Gabby stopped by for walks so the pups were never home for more than 4 hours at a time.
Because at Puddletown, it’s never just about pet sitting — it’s about making sure every dog gets the care, companionship, and exercise they deserve. 🐕✨

Tails wagging, paws muddy, heart full.

There are cones of shame, and then there is this cone. Have you ever seen a cone like this? Bruno just had his neutering appointment, and to help make him more comfortable, his owner bought him this.

Teaching “touch” is a great way to build engagement with your dog — and it’s useful for recall, redirection, and fun tricks.
✅ Touch: Hold out your palm a few inches from your dog’s nose. Say “touch”. When they sniff or bop it with their nose, say “Yes!” and reward.
Repeat until they consistently touch your hands, then increase your expectations.
🎯 Pro tip: Practice in different environments.
Keep it short, fun, and high-reward.

🌾🐾 Watch out for Foxtails! 🐾🌾
Summer adventures in the woods are the best — but they also mean foxtail season!
These pesky thistle like seeds can easily get lodged into your dog’s paws, fur, ears, or even nose. Left unchecked, they can burrow into the skin and cause painful infections.
✅ Pro tip: After every hike or outdoor adventure, check your pups paws, between their toes, and their coat — especially if they have longer hair like a doodle or golden retriever! Keeping the hair between their paw pads trimmed can also help.
Let’s keep those paws healthy so the adventures can continue all summer long. 🐶 ❤️

Poor Pippin had to have knee surgery. She's at home, stoned out of her gourd, and resting comfortably.
Thanks to for such wonderful care.

🐾 Calling all athletes and dog lovers! 🐾
Meet Zoey – a sweet 10-month-old girl who’s in need of a new home. Due to her mom’s serious health issues, Zoey is currently looking for a fresh start. At about 40 lbs and a mix of German Shepherd and Walker Hound, she’s full of energy and loves to chase balls and run around the yard. Zoey would thrive in a home with some outdoor space!
She’s been an angel in the house – no chewing or destroying, and she loves to snuggle while I work from home. She’ll let you know when she’s ready for outdoor time with a gentle nudge and a bark! Zoey gets along with other dogs but has a bit of a prey drive with chickens 🐔. She’s not quite perfect on the leash yet, but with her smarts, I know she’ll get the hang of it quickly.
If you’re looking for a loyal running buddy and a sweet cuddle companion, Zoey might be the perfect fit for you. Drop me a private message if you’d like to learn more, feel free to share with anyone who might be a good match!

I love these posts!
Yahtzee is so handsome and intelligent, but his impulse control and attention span were two major challenges to his training success.
To have a successful training experience you need a couple of things: dedicated owners and a training program that provides clear goals and expectations, as well as exercises that are fun and easily repeatable.
Yahtzee has come so far. I expect big things from him.

Tuck went to the groomer. His owner was sent this picture.
It brightened up my day. I can't tell if I'm getting "Children of the Corn," vibes, or maybe "The Wizard of Oz."
Either way...
