“I just want to coach.”

This morning at 6am I opened 20 seats in my 5th Awaken Your Practice. This is a very big deal for me. How often in your own path do you convince yourself you’re on the wrong trail and go back to the beginning? This was me for the first few YEARS in my work. ⠀

I assumed if no one showed up, if people scoffed at my ideas, if no one wanted to pay me, if people didn’t like me, if I lost people..then these were my signs that I was on the wrong trail. Awaken Your Practice was the first creation I decided I would be beholden to no matter what. In other words, I was sticking to the path.⠀

I made the DECISION in 2016 that I would run this immersion 5 times. I have no clue where the number 5 came from. It was just a number that felt very challenging to me. I also had no clue how long it would take but taking time OFF the trail helped me stick TO my trail. Stay to my path.⠀

I learned that every time I quit I am actively choosing to NOT know what I am capable of.⠀

Well, something remarkable is happening. Although we aren’t sold out yet, people I never dreamed wanted to be part of this immersion are signing up. Where in your life do you habitually quit? What is possible if you went just one step further?

If I wanted money, this is what I would do...Before we dive into this and more I want to clarify something - the difference between "I want money" and "I need money."⠀

If you NEED money - pause right here. I define 'need' as literally lacking financial resources or the ability to financially support your life or the lives of those you are responsible for. In other words, does your business currently and consistently EARN your BASE LIVING costs? If not...growing a business just got 100x harder.⠀

If I WANT money - keep reading. Growing or scaling a business is a creative process. It is a very liberating feeling to know there is enough money coming in that now you get to stretch yourself. The bridge between need and want is the hardest one to cross. When I crossed it I made a decision - I am NEVER going back.⠀

In my mind, making 6 figures was not a fluke. I know how I got here so I can replicate it. But as far as I was concerned, once I crossed that mark there was NO going back. And I am now in year 4 of making 6-figures. In full transparency, here are my money goals…⠀

My mom had gumption. During her life, she mothered, started businesses, became a writer, was an artist, drove across the country, fell in love with nature, and made a decision early in her life that her daughter would not know the tremendous pain she did as a child. That her daughter would have the freedom, education, and opportunity to act on independent choices no matter what the world told her she was or was not. That daughter is me. ⠀

I didn't fully appreciate growing up what my mother was doing. I didn't know any different. She was, in many ways, my first coach and mentor. But beyond that, she did more than cheer me on. She told me every day that I could do what I set my mind and heart to. ⠀

But as an adult woman who spends her days riding the fine line with people between encouragement and unrolling the past, I bump into story after story riddled with reasons why someone must stay within the lines. Why someone is bound to where they come from more than they are prepared to let it go.⠀

This is the hard part of the work. Not untangling your stories or bumping into limiting beliefs or self-doubt. Put me in the ring with these parts of you any day. The hard part is watching someone who truly believes the fear and is choosing a life path that abides. A path that keeps the gremlins in play. >I'm not OK with this

For the past 6 months I’ve spent the majority of my weeks in session with my Coaching Circle clients. I get to work with people from all over the country and even the world. THANK YOU if you’ve been part of this new idea I launched last year.⠀

This month I get to welcome even more purpose-driven people to this work. I created the Coaching Circle in response to many things - big life changes, re-commitment to my work in service, a desire to be more accessible, a longing to open my work to even more people, a desire to have more fun.⠀

In getting ready for this next circle I’ve spent a lot of time on my meditation cushion and in my journal - my go-to places to dream up ideas and connect with those I love working with. I asked myself this prompt, “If I poured all of me into my coaching circle I would…” I don’t even know why I felt the need to ask this but I am glad I did - what came out of my pen still surprises me. It feels raw but I am ok with raw. Here’s what my journal revealed to me...⠀

‘Coaching. Mentoring. Teaching. Empowering. I’ve made it my life’s mission to do this work no matter how you find me or show up, I will infuse ALL of my work from a high-level of belief and possibility. What if hiring a life coach would mean desiging, defining, and delivering dreams to your life? What if it could mean absolving wounds thousands of lifetimes old? What if it could be having the awareness of and trust in your role in this life? What if in the process of getting there you help ascend all beings by re-writing our collective story, what then...I want people to know they have a choice and a right to enact that choice and express the WHOLE of who they are and could be, now in this very moment.’⠀
