Every once in a while, we come across something outside of Soulful that feels deeply aligned with what we care about here — and we want to share it with our community.
Many of you know Dr. akasha from the workshops he has offered at Soulful, and you may have seen his poetry book, Love Everything, on our shelves. He and his colleague Sawyer have created a beautiful and unusual program called Rooted Voice, and we’re excited to share it with our Soulful family.
Each of us is born with a unique voice that we are here to express in this life.
But somewhere along the way, we can lose touch with it.
We learn to speak in the voices of our parents, our teachers, our partners, our culture — even the version of ourselves we once needed to be.
Rooted Voice is about finding your way back to the voice that is actually yours.
This intimate six-session program brings together adult development, somatic practice, voice work, mindfulness, yoga, and spiritual tradition to explore what it means to speak from a place that feels deeply and authentically your own.

Julia is offering Making Space, a gentle decluttering experience for women in transition. This isn’t about forcing yourself to become perfectly organized or getting rid of everything you own.

What your space—and your emerging self—need now
To celebrate the launch of this offering, Soulful PDX is giving away one complimentary Making Space session with Julia, available in person in the Portland area. The session will focus on one room in the winner’s space (e.g. living room, kitchen, bedroom, etc.) which can last up to 8 hours and will take place no later than July 29th.
