Cascade Beagle Rescue's Official Position Statement on Beagles Used in Research:
At Cascade Beagle Rescue, we dedicate our work to protecting beagles and giving them a voice. We stand firmly against the use of dogs—and especially beagles—in laboratory research and safety testing.
Beagles are commonly used in research in part because they are gentle, trusting, and easy to handle. The very qualities that make them such wonderful companions should never be exploited for experimentation.
We support the advancement of human-relevant, non-animal research methods and a future in which beagles are no longer bred for laboratories.
No dog should spend its life as a test subject.
Every beagle deserves safety, kindness, freedom, and a loving home. 🐾

If you have adopted a laboratory research beagle from CBR or any other organization, please consider furthering the research project of Dr. Michelle Sinclair, who is studying the behaviours of research beagles post-adoption. This is an important study and your input would be extremely valuable.
