“Let your heart be broken” is such a counterintuitive idea. It’s like “get punched in the face.” The idea seems to be that we can’t feel ourselves into this life fully, unless we’re willing to be broken open. Unless we’re willing to be hurt. It’s so painful, but then so is the dull gray of clinging to safety. thank you
