COVID update: Hello! While the CDC has issued new guidelines businesses here in Oregon are still under the emergency Oregon OSHA orders. This means that we are still practicing "curbside" service. At this time only team members and pets are allowed inside the building. Thank you for your continued patience, understanding and compassion for our hard -working team.

Calling all cat people, today is respect your cat day! Or, maybe it should be calling all dog people - cat people know that cats demand respect. But, what does that mean? Well, first it means recognizing when your cat is unhappy or displaying stress behaviors. When they are communicating fear and anxiety through behavior, cats need help. Sometimes it means changing around the layout in your house; sometimes it means leaving them alone for a bit; and, sometimes (like for car trips and trips to the vet) it means providing anti-anxiety medications to help them feel better. Does you cat have car/ vet anxiety? We can help! Please call to discuss how we can make your cat's visit as stress free as possible. We are committed to fear free.

Pandemic Puppies! It's true - there has been a boom in new puppies and kittens since COVID began and it hasn't slowed down! It's National Puppy day. Now that you have this puppy what do you do? Three important aspects of puppy raising: 1) Healthy puppies see the vet regularly for the first several months of life. 2) Healthy and happy puppies have training and boundaries They are learning how to socialize with people and animals and 3) They have exposure to many different situations to learn that the world isn't so scary. This is an important step in preventing bite behaviors that stem from fear and anxiety. Here at CPV we are committed to fear free practices that leave your pet with a positive experience. Starting at this young age is important and beneficial for you and your pet. Call us today to find out how we can make your pet's vet visit a happy visit.
