Thanks so much Seattle! and I had a whirlwind weekend driving up from Portland Saturday morning and back down Sunday evening. It was crazy, but also quite the adventure and I’m amazed we did it haha! One of our favorite booth displays to date, and such a wonderful spot right by the front. Thank you for the support and to the Renegade crew for being some of the best!

Excited to be doing my summer pressed flower workshops a bit differently this year. I’m just doing a couple at flower farms with workshop spaces. Coming the first weekend of June, is hosting us for an afternoon of flower pressing. We’ll learn how to press flowers out in the garden, how to pick the perfect blooms, and everyone will fill up a handmade flower press that they’ll take home and can resuse. The rest of the workshop will be spent learning to craft with presssed flowers and I’ll have an assortment of crafts to create some pressed flower keepsakes.

At many of my workshops, folks have said, wow I could do this all day! So I hope this longer class gives everyone more time to enjoy, slow down, and learn some new crafts. Hope you can join us June 6 at 11 am on Sauvies Island!

After losing my best pal Coffee Bean last month, this little cat appeared at my apartment complex in need of a home. She made herself comfortable, and hasn’t been claimed, so I’ve named her Daffodil and will happily take care of her.

I’m still dealing with the er visit costs from Coffee Bean’s cancer treatments, and wasn’t anticipating getting another cat so soon, but the cat distribution system works in mysterious ways. The vet confirmed Daffodil isn’t spayed and the procedure is over $900. I could really use the help with covering some of these costs so I’m raffling off some of my favorite products and my friends and donated some goodies as well! The raffle winner will receive my original daffodil watercolor painting, a perennial calendar, frameable cat card, set of watercolor cards, daffodil print, and daffodil earrings.

Moments from tulip season 🌷. My most recent tulip painting, tulips from my garden, wooden shoe tulip festival and one of my first watercolor paintings from high school.

I had to say goodbye to my best pal Coffee Bean earlier this week. She was my constant companion, always wanting a lap to sit on or be picked up and held. Her purrs were like a revving motor, she loved ice cream, and when she made biscuits it was a full body ordeal. A glass of water couldn’t be left out unless you wanted to share it with her. Her warm, snuggly, chatty presence is so missed. She inspired my flowers in their eyes pet series and it will be a constant reminder to me how much she was loved and an ode to all the sweet kitties we are lucky to know 🖤🐈‍⬛🖤
