I am thrilled to share a video I've been working on since early spring Culture and Connection: An Intersection of Indigenous Excellence. This was a partnership between Clackamas ESD and Native Wellness Institute that resulted in two beautiful cultural events last summer. And lucky us, we got to be there to film!! Super proud of this one and honored to be able to share this story on behalf of the Native communities in Oregon.

A few weeks ago I got to spend time with Peggy Konzack, a 102 year old swim instructor at the YMCA in Roseburg, OR while shooting this video for The Oregonian. A father who was there with his son the day I was shooting had been her student 40 years ago and now she was teaching his son to swim. I was also a Y baby about 40 years ago, Peggy might have been my teacher if I had grown up in Roseburg. It was magical to spend a few days with Peggy who was born the same year as my Grandma, 1921. I want to adopt her.
