Shift is based in Portland, OR, and our mission is to promote inclusive bike fun. Shift is a project of a local nonprofit called Umbrella.

We host a public calendar where anyone can post a bike ride to encourage others to join them. SHIFT hosts this calendar as a public service. Rides and events are posted to the SHIFT calendar by community members, not by SHIFT. Rides and events posted to the SHIFT calendar are not sponsored by SHIFT or SHIFT’s fiscal sponsor Umbrella. Due to forecasted high temperatures, limited rainfall, and expected dry conditions, a seasonal burn ban has been in effect for Portland since June 23rd. This is anticipated to remain in effect throughout the summer. If your ride was planning to have a fire, please skip it.

It’s gettin’ real around the fountain. Thank you to our ride leaders from who ushered in tonight, with a very special kickoff ride that ended at . We even spotted some old stalwart riders and their fancy accessories. While is all about year-round , make no mistake that Pedalpalooza has a special place in our hearts, and our calendar.
