sky·light - the diffused and reflected light of the sky.

"Skylights" is probably the oddball out of these tracks I've been posting lately. This one started while I was working night shifts over the summer as part of my training program. One of the blessings of working overnight is that you get to enjoy the sunrise most mornings, and sunlight coming through the window was a sign that it was almost time to go home. I'm still not sure how I feel about the "jazzy" piano chords and the sorta chilled out vibe, but I'm glad to share it with ya. Let me know what you think! I've got one more lined up next week before I start working on some new tunes! Thanks for listening!

rip·tide - a strong current caused by tidal flow in confined areas such as inlets and presenting a hazard to swimmers and boaters.

"Riptide" is a track I started this past summer, reminiscent of beach trips with friends. I wanted to capture the feeling of surrender and peace that comes with allowing the waves to crash over your feet, time and time again. This was a track I had a chance to share with Anjunabeats Senior A&R, Gareth Jones, at the ABGT Weekender in July 2020. Probably the first time I have ever had a professional take a keen listen to my music, and share some encouraging words as well. The song has undergone many iterations since then (and hopefully for the better). I hope that "Riptide" makes you feel the way I intended - To miss the carelessness of summer weekends, and learning to let go. - A

or·i·gin - the point or place where something begins, arises, or is derived.

In this next month, I'll be sharing some tracks that I've been working on in the past year. Originally intended to be compiled into an EP, I've decided to post them individually and share them with you. For those of you who don't know, I practice medicine and more recently, work has definitely been a bit more taxing than usual. However, I've been enjoying the opportunity of channeling emotions of anxiety and frustration into music, and thankful for the outlet of creativity.

“Origins" is the first track I started in the group of four. It's the first time I've tried my hand at some harder dubstep-influenced sounds, and hopefully still resonates with my melodic roots. I'm a sucker for transitions between big stacked chords and growly, glitched out drops, and a little bit of epic, orchestral vibes as well. Thanks for taking a listen - Stay healthy out there! - A | 📸 unsplash.com/
