Turning to alcohol ... (just kidding). Beginnings of that lovely Italian delight, nocino - take vodka, add quartered green walnuts and all manner of delicious spices. Wait several months, imbibe. Winter’s looking good ...

Fun little evening with good friends - socially distanced, of course 😉. Delicious maqluba - a Palestinian rice dish with chicken, eggplant, zucchini, and about seven spices. Maybe next time I’ll do the whole plate-and-flip traditional version! There are many different approaches to this dish, depending on what ingredients are available. The deep, nuanced flavor is so good! We accompanied it with a fresh salad of barely ripe nectarines, watercress, fennel, a light touch of salty feta, and an orange honey dressing.

We’re so sad to have to say this. We’re closing until everything is back to normal, business picks up, and we can all be safe. Continuing right now doesn’t make sense for our family, and for our business. We love you, and are so grateful for all your support! I’ll miss cooking for you so much!
