Adel just recently completed his first year in the profession after earning his Master of Architecture from the University of Oregon. He works as a designer at Access Architecture in Vancouver, Washington, a firm that focuses on affordable housing projects across the greater Portland metro area. As a designer, he assists project teams in developing drawing sets and supporting the design process across multiple phases.

Congratulations to AIA Oregon’s newest Fellows:
Katherine Shaloo Berg, FAIA – ZGF Architects
Stuart Emmons, FAIA – Emmons Design LLC
Thomas F. Robinson, FAIA – LEVER Architecture
The Fellowship designation (FAIA) is one of the highest honors bestowed by the American Institute of Architects, recognizing individuals who have made a profound impact on the profession and society. Fewer than 3% of AIA members achieve this distinction.
These architects have demonstrated excellence through design, leadership, mentorship, and service. Their work not only elevates the built environment but also advances the role of architects in shaping a better, more equitable world. We are proud to celebrate their achievements and their lasting contributions to the field.

AIA Oregon and over 400 members of The American Institute of Architects (AIA) are representing you in DC when it's more essential than ever to have representation at our nation's capitol. John Flynn, Jake Zander, Isaac Hadnutt, and Heather Wilson met today with Oregon Senator Ron Wyden and House Representatives Val Hoyle and Suzanne Bonamici to promote federal action that will improve architecture practice in Oregon. With them we advocated for tax incentives to help architects offset the costs of prototyping and designing the future of architecture, strategies to secure more funding for affordable housing development, and investments to enhance the resilience of our state's built environment—plus much more.
AIA Oregon is here for you and working for you to increase your and future generations of architects' success.
