The new Ingrid Components flat bar shifters are intuitive shifting with just one finger and now we are taking pre-orders for the first batch that will be available in US at the end of July.

Analogical vs digital, analogical but digital.

Analogical from latin analogicus “of grammatical analogy” (borrowed from greek analogikós) based on mathematical ratios, of analogy in grammar, from “analogía”, proportion, from “analog”, similar, then intuitive.

You will move the lever forward to up-shift the derailleur. You will move back the lever in an intuitive way to down-shift. It’s analogical.

Do you remember the late 80’s shifters? they were intuitive. Such as the downtube levers.

But if you introduce a ratchet it may become more “digitally precise”, from latin digitālis “measuring a finger’s breadth,” from digitus “finger, toe, finger’s breadth as a measure” + -ālis. The zero and the one, you know…

And, yes it’s wired, so, you’ll must use your thumb, actuated by your muscles. Sorry.

The shifter will come with the dedicated Finn to work with your current INGRID Derailleur or the new one you will order on our website!
