Thank you to Stephen Slappe for presenting his Dead Media Hour archive to us last night! He led the audience through his research around The Riddle of Thurmond Towns, a record containing the story of an innocent African American man shot by police in the 1950s. It isn't hard to see how relevant this thrift store find is to today's current cultural climate. His presentation was both educational and moving.
