My third trip to and and fabulous as always. Every time I stay here I notice something new — this time I learned that the books in the meeting room are from visiting authors who’ve actually stayed at the hotel, we got to check out the Atari to play in the room, and I realized how great the patio is for sipping the local bubbly they hand you at check-in.

It’s in the heart of McMinnville, which is a great little base for Willamette Valley wine country, and handles breakfast before you head out on the bikes they loan you or do antiquing or more wine tasting. has seriously thought of everything! Have you been yet?!

Still not over this 90s nostalgia tea party I threw with my friends and our daughters. I found this farm tea set I evidently got for Christmas in 1994 and my parents had held on to… what a great way to enjoy it! Chatting with my girlfriends while our daughters played happily in their dresses and helped pick out their bow colors… What a lovely way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

I’m linking all the supplies I got on Amazon, plus this exact tea set and some similar vibes for the table setting! Save and try this with your friends!

My daughter’s room was really cute, but needed some upgrades upgrades for function and to make it a little more elegant. First I swapped the Roman shade for this much nicer one… and then the RUG! This made the biggest difference. I found a custom size rug from because this room is so long and skinny.

It’s a comfortable wool and it comes with a backing attached so it’s super easy to lay down. Using a rug the right size gave us enough space for all of her stuff. I was able to clear out some things, get some toy organizers, and then do some final styling touches to make this room feel so lovely and special for her.

The rug for this room honestly stumped me for years because it’s so long and skinny and it turns out custom was just the right solution. It’s so easy to find exactly what you need on Sisal Rugs Direct for any size room!

My tour is live, and it was honestly a joy to make my home all extra beautiful and gab about for an afternoon. One question they asked me, and I honestly don’t remember how I answered in the interview, but here’s how I would answer it now!: What’s my number one decor tip?

But here it is: Natural materials whenever possible. Solid wood, natural fibers like cotton and linen, vintage and antique pieces, even if they need a little love. It all makes your home feel so much more permanent and special than a home furnished from the big box and online shortcuts. Try it!!

Lilacs are honestly one of the highest-maintenance flowers I bring inside… but they’re also one of my absolute favorites!

These few tips make mine last so much longer! Now I can plan on their amazing fragrance for almost a whole week. I treasure the mature lilac bush outside my back door, and this new one of a different variety I planted in my front yard a couple years ago.

Save this for lilac season 💜

I’ve decided to put our patio and some of my summer dining items to good use this summer and do more of these dinners. The pressure is off, but it can still be really beautiful! I absolutely love these hand-painted fish stoneware plates, embroidered crochet napkins, and cheerful checkered linen tablecloth, all from . Prefect since GreenRow is all about joy, plus of course sustainable sourcing and vintage inspiration.

But honestly, the perfect outdoor dinner party to me is beautiful, but most importantly, features the impromptu talent show my daughter organized, super easy cooking we can tag team while we chat with our friends, watermelon!, and some hammocking. More of this this summer, please ❤️🌞
