Mary Levy Designs

2024 is the year I turn 60, and my goal this year was to get photos that reflect me today. I’m so grateful to Lara Blair Photography for making me so comfortable. She is so fabulously stylish and creative-and we bonded over our shared love of color. You’ll find me most often on Instagram at Mary Levy Designs, so I wanted to introduce myself to those of you who have found me here.

-I’m Mary.
-I live in Portland, Oregon where my husband and I raised our three boys, who have all begun their own lives.
-I love Pilates and do it as often as I can.
-Before becoming a color consultant, I was a passionate French teacher for 20 years.
-My husband is my favorite person and he keeps me well-fed with pies, bread and pizza (hence the need for Pilates 😁).
-I am a Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore trained color consultant.
-I am also a Certified Architectural Color Consultant.
-I love to step into my clients’ homes, to listen to their goals, and to translate that into a cohesive color palette that makes the home feel like them.

This project was a super fun collaboration with Salmon Built for a really great family. They wanted the design to stay true to the history of their 1911 home while being functional for their busy lifestyle. Photos by Masha Ana.

Hi! My name is Mary Levy and I am the owner of Mary Levy Designs, a color consulting and interior design business in Portland, Oregon. I was a French teacher for decades, but I left a much loved teaching position to explore my passion for color. In 2019, I completed my design certification at Heritage School of Interior Design here in Portland. Now, as a Sherwin Williams trained color consultant, I work with painters, builders and DIYers to create layered color palettes for their projects and their spaces.
