I was in a contentious arbitration with an extremely distasteful opposing counsel. At one point he made an argument insulting me, my client, and the case in whole. I said out loud "I'm not sure where to begin to respond." At that point the arbitrator, someone I respected for a long time, said "Don't." This was years ago, but it is still the best legal advice I ever received. When the other side makes baseless attacks, let that stand for what it is...BS.
