I've had this amazing Brutalist Cat Tail Sculpture in my home for over 15 years. I love it though switching design gears and letting it go. Dirilyte flatware and tableware has a lustrous gold-toned finish, which is inherent in the metal alloy itself rather than a surface plating. Dirilyte is made from a proprietary metal alloy called Dirigold, which gives Dirilyte its distinctive gold-like appearance.

Dirilyte flatware was popular in the mid-20th century, particularly in the 1940s and 1950s. It was considered a luxurious choice for fine dining and special occasions. Dirilyte offered a variety of patterns and designs to cater to different tastes. Some patterns featured a more modern, streamlined look like the Tropical Star.

Dirilyte's unique gold-like appearance made it a popular choice for embellishing and accenting luxury automobiles. This application was particularly notable in the mid-20th century. The use of Dirilyte in car trim was a reflection of the desire for luxurious aesthetics and attention to detail in automotive design during that era. Dirilyte trim added a touch of elegance and sophistication to the exterior and interior of select luxury vehicles.
