★ Cinema Club (18+) ★

It’s time for a Thursday night movie! Join us August 13th, from 6pm to 9:30pm, for Cinema Club!

Brenden & Kenneth will introduce the evening’s film, which will be kept a surprise until you arrive! If you guess it, please don’t spoil it for others.

Doors open at 6pm, giving everyone time to arrive, mingle, ano settle in. The screening will begin promptly at 7pm. And it’s absolutely free!

After each film, we’ll open the floor for discussion, diving into themes, technical elements, film movements, and personal interpretations.

Together, we’ll explore the vast landscape of world cinema in an accessible, informal setting, emphasizing curiosity, conversation, and appreciation for film in all its forms.

★ Bring One Trade One! ★

We’re hosting a cute little trinket swap during our Cà Phê hours this upcoming Sunday, August 9th from 10am to 2pm. Bring your random trinkets, knick knacks and tchotchkes to show off and trade with your fellow friends. It could be something thrifted, found, or even handmade!

We’re so excited to see what y’all have to bring! Stay for a coffee and banh mi, and chat with new and old friends. See you all on Sunday!

We had such a blast learning about native plants and making seed bombs with everyone.

We’ll be making painted canvas totes! Morgan has you covered with plain white canvas bag, paints and paint brushes!

Suggested $10 donation via Venmo or cash at the event to help cover materials and keep our club thriving.

Come one, come all! We’re back with another Friday evening of Magic: The Gathering (Casual Commander)!

Bring your singles! We will be joined by Jeremy Hoover who will be running their MTG pop-up where you can purchase and/or trade to get those cards that you ve been looking for!

Bring your pod or hop into a new one! All skill levels are welcome, whether you’re a seasoned planeswalker or brand new to the game. We’re here to connect, play, and have fun.

Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase! As always, we’ll be raffling boosters and other MTG goodies throughout the night (you’ll receive one ticket for every $3 spent).

★ Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Tournament (18+) ★

Get your mains ready! This Saturday, August 8th, we’re hosting another Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Tournament on Nintendo Switch!

Only 20 slots are available (spectators are welcome) —RSVP now through the link in our bio to secure your spot on the bracket. If you don’t want to participate in the tourney, come enjoy the vibes and some dinner as well as free play at the end of the evening!

*Please RSVP only if you’re playing in the tournament and are certain you can attend. No-shows will affect the bracket.
Spectators do not have to RSVP*

Entry Fee: $10 buy-in per participant. Pay at check-in.

We’re at the peak of summer now and filled up our calendar with more fun for everyone! Another Super Smash Bros Ultimate tourney is around the corner, don’t forget to sign up ASAP. We’re bringing in a little trinket swap during cafe. Our friend Juno Juno Violet will be coming back to teach a Tarot 201 class! Jake halfdecentpdx is back with another tasty bake sale! We’ll be popping up at cafebetterdays for a night of funky sounds, summer BBQ vibes, and flash tattoos by Eryn!

As always, we have a month full of club meetings! See something you’re curious about? Come join us to learn something new and meet new friends! All clubs are completely free to join.

Get ready to gather some resources once again! We’re playing Catan this Sunday at Cafe!

★ Photography Club! ★

Whether you’re an expert photographer or new to the world of film or digital media, Friends Share Photography is the club for you! We’re welcoming photographers of all skill levels and all kinds (film, digital, even your smart phone) to come join us in a monthly exploration of new prompts, educational workshops, tips, tricks, and most importantly, community.

Last month our club members were given the prompt: Create a still life!

We’ve had a month to explore our interpretations of that prompt, and everyone will be sharing their work with the group this next Thursday, July 30th! If you’re new and will be joining us, we will debrief themes and questions from our last meeting, discuss everyone’s work from this past month, and get into the next prompt!

We emphasize accessibility and encourage any and all questions. This is a space for us to all learn from each other, and we are so excited to see what we can all create together. So bring whatever camera you’d like to work with—we’re so excited to see you on Thursday!
