We lost an amazing human last week. Grant Grant McOmie was a kind and humble friend who not only shared the beauty in Oregon with all of us, he also supported all those he believed in quietly behind the scenes. Not only was he an incredible outdoor enthusiast in Oregon on Grant's Getaways, he also made positive impacts with everyone he crossed paths with. Grant chose to include Jonah and I in his special on Oregon Sunstones in 2015, then he came back and asked me if he could show people what I do with the sunstones we mined on that show for a bonus episode. This obviously made a positive impact on my jewelry business and helped bring me up in the know in the Oregon Sunstone jewelry and mining business. Since we met at the sunstone mine that summer in 2015, he has stayed in touch with me and continued to support my business. I am so grateful for his friendship and his presence in my life.
