RADIO: Presenting: “The Quietest Show on Earth”
Ladies and Gentlemen, for your entertainment and enlightenment enjoyment, sit right down, still your alpha waves and prepare to be enveloped by the quietest music in the world! In the center ring, two (count them two) triple pianissimo pieces by Morton Feldman, “For Samuel Beckett” (for a small ensemble), plus “Piano and Voices.” Following a short intermission you’ll thrill to the barely audible “l’ile re-sonante” for the ARP 2500 synthesizer created (or realized) by the recently departed Eliane Radigue. Step this way, only a quarter, one performance only.
Monday 30 March, 10:00 pm - Midnight (PDT) at 90.7 and streaming at kboo.fm (this follows the regular A Different Nature program which airs at 8:00 - 10:00 pm. A four-hour spectacular!

James Tenney special, or: "The Tam-Tam in My Life"
Portland is in the middle of a James Tenney celebration and the show will present a selection of his percussion and electronic music. Though not very well known Tenney did wondrous things with single instruments and sweeping sound environments. Part two of the show will feature a battery (no pun intended) of percussion pieces by Jennifer Higdon, John Cage, George Green, Giacinto Scelsi, Earle Brown, and the delightful wandering sheep of Dorkas, Greece.
KBOO made its winter membership drive goal. Thanks to all of you who contributed to our success. You give us money, James Tenney will glower at you.

RADIO: Rahsaan Roland Kirk: The Sightless Visionary
A sheer musical force of nature, Kirk played numerous instruments (often at the same time), composed wild original music, sang, told stories, and composed the most monumental Saxophone Concerto you’ve ever heard in your life. “I’m not blind,” said Kirk, “I’m just sightless.” You’ll hear the difference on this show.
