Our second Awesome Portland grant for September 2022 goes to The Grand Diwali Musical. A community outreach celebrating the Festival of Lights, over 60 local artists will share their culture and community.

The BIPOC Book Fair is creating a book fair where kids and teens can find a book for themselves, written by a BIPOC author. Every kid will walk away with a book of their own!

Normally we share happy/awesome news. Today's a little different. One of our Awesome Portland trustees recently passed away after a short illness. Alain Bally was our friend for several years—we'll miss his kindness and generosity. One of the volunteers that made Portland such a wonderful place to live.
