Join us on July 19th at the Portland Art Museum for a screening of Safe (1995), guest programmed by Britt Howard, founder of Portland Garment Factory and artist behind Studio Howard , as part of PAM CUT // Center for an Untold Tomorrow ‘s Pretty, Witty, and Gay film series in dialogue with the David Hockney exhibition.

Todd Haynes’ cult classic follows Julianna Moore in her first starring role as a woman navigating a mysterious illness within the pristine landscape of 90s suburbia. Visually striking and beautifully unsettling, the film explores the hidden tensions beneath carefully manicured worlds.

The collection bring together three Portland-based studios dedication to craftsmanship, sustainable production, and thoughtful design.

The skyline capsule pairs The Joinery’s solid wood platform bed, headboard, and nightstands with custom upholstered elements designed by Studio Howard, including the headboard, dumpling k***s, throw pillows, and blanket set ~ all fabricated at PGF.

Each piece was made using reclaimed leather and wool textile remnants sourced from previous projects at both The Joinery and PGF.
