Happy NYE friends! Weâve missed you here at Raise The Bar, and weâre excited to roll into 2025 with a whole new assortment of cocktails for you to enjoy.
To celebrate the new year, weâve got a delicious champagne cocktail for yâall - the âParty At Midnightâ - a delightful take on Hemingwayâs Death In The Afternoon.
It stars Lucid Absinthe paired up with Mazarini Prosecco and a dash of Reganâs Orange Bitters finished with a lemon twist.
Itâs the perfect drink to ring in 2025 and leave 2024 in the rearview mirror.
Keep an eye out tomorrow morning for another delicious concoction to help with whatever unwanted effects you have from enjoying too many PAMâs tonight, and later this week for the start of Mocktail Month to celebrate all of you that are participating in Dry January this year!

Our good friends and gifted us some homemade sweet & spicy almonds and walnuts so OF COURSE I had to make a tasty simple syrup out of them. I added a touch of maple syrup đ to the mixture during the boiling process to give it a nice, rich flavor.

Well friends, Thanksgiving is over and youâve got a smorgasbord of food crammed in the fridge. Youâre probably wondering what the heck to do with all of that delicious cranberry sauce because, letâs face it, you always seem to make too much every year. Well fret not! We here at Raise The Bar have the perfect solutionâmake it into a tasty cocktail!
For this holiday quaff, I (JP) wanted to do something quick and easy to offset the exhaustive amount of time already spent in the kitchen, so I decided to do a riff on the crowd-pleasing Moscow Mule. The cranberry and ginger flavors play well together and Portland newcomers was the perfect vodka to use as the base. The company filters their spirit through Pacific Northwest timber and hazelnut charcoal, resulting in a perfect flavor combination to keep you jolly all season long.
The Saucy Mule
1.5 oz Headwind Vodka
1 spoonful cranberry sauce (homemade preferred)75 oz Fresh Lime
Dash of house-made Rosemary syrup
Shaken + topped with Fever Tree Ginger Beer
DM me for the Rosemary syrup recipe!
Oh, and Haley would like to add that this is also delicious when served without vodka as a mocktail. The baby currently growing has her out of the liquor game...for now.

Hey everyone!
Haley here, half of Raise the Bar PDX. Weâve been quiet on here for a while but after taking some time away to focus on summer fun with the family, we would like to re-introduce ourselves!
Raise the Bar PDX is a new family run (seriously, just the two of us) business thatâs here to help with all of your home bar needs. We specialize in homemade fun-flavored simple syrups, personalized batched cocktails for events like anniversaries and weddings, instructional zoom sessions teaching cocktail basics and new recipes, and, when itâs safe to do so, event bartending!
John-Paul and I were married June 2019. Our love story began atâyou guessed itâa bar. A love of coming up with experimental cocktails (JP) and drinking them (me) brought us together. After years of doing it for fun, we decided to bring our talents to the masses. Thereâs nothing we love more than seeing people enjoy our creations, except maybe each other. Thanks for following us along on this journey!
