San Diego songwriter Gayle Skidmore is coming To The Portland Music Collaborative on Friday, August 28th for a Friday Night Full Moon Salon.

Her music is wildly creative and has been featured on the HBO series "Looking."

FULL MOON MUSIC AND ART GATHERING POSTPONED

Our wonderful Guzheng player, Ruisi Li, suffered a back injury today and will not be able to perform for a while, so we have decided to postpone tomorrow's Full Moon Art and Music Salon until next month. We hope this hasn't caused you any inconvenience with Memorial Day weekend planning and we look forward to having you join us for the rescheduled event. We'll post an invitation as soon as we get the date locked in.

Richie Havens - Just like a woman Richie is one of the best kept secrets in popular music. One of the best voices, one of the most unique guitar styles, and he possessed an incredible ability to make the songs of some of the best songwriters that have ever lived his own. Love ya Richie!

I don't know if she ever used the term, but Dorothy Taubman was one of the great teachers of "flow" in music.

She took a stand against musical training for technical endurance and discovered the physical principles that allow the fingers, wrists, arms, and entire body to work in harmony.

If you ever experience an injury playing any music instrument, her insights could make the difference between sustaining injury and opening up to euphoria.
