Portland Swing Dance Club

Saturday we will be having a silent auction downstairs with the less valuable items, 7-9:30. There will be an online auction running at the same time, to give everyone a chance at the bigger items, and
memorabilia that might have sentimental value so look forward to those possibilities.

Saturday we will be having a dessert Potluck, so bring a dish IF you would like. We need Volunteers for the auction and other duties. Please volunteer to help us with a great final event and a great dance.

Dear Friends, we can use some help at the dance Saturday. It's going to be busy with dance check-in, the potluck, and silent auction. Some help with clean-up at the end of the evening would be much appreciated too. Comment here, or you can message Donna Heyting. No need to sign up for a specific time, just tell us you are willing to lend a hand.

Saturday's PSDC Dance will be a great event. We would like to reach out and ask ALL previous PSDC Board members to attend. It would be nice to see you and share memories. Come participate in our auction. Visit with dance partners of yesteryear.

Last night at the Annual Member Meeting , the election ballots were tallied and the measure to dissolve the club was passed by members 88% (36) to 12% (5). Thank you to all who participated. This is not where we anticipated or wanted to be, but was a result of our financial reality.

Our final dance will be December 9th, the second Saturday. We are planning a celebration, in recognition of our wonderful members, present and past, who are the heart soul of our club. Watch for details.

VOTE: PSDC has sent out a ballot to determine the future of the club. Please read the Agenda sent out to get the full details. Voting will end at 8:30pm on Saturday November 11th.

Second Saturday dance, October 14th, at the Sunnyside Grange. Joy Davina will be teaching the intermediate lesson at 7:30, followed by DJ Jack Lim spinning the tunes until midnight.
