What a treat to come together in community for a 2-day Skillshare event created by the students at Lewis & Clark college. I was so impressed by their planning and organization efforts, the variety of Skillshare workshops offered, the food, live music, and their presence to create a beautiful space for us to come together. The memories of those I connected with are still so vivid in my mind. Thanks for making me feel included. The first slide shows what I physically made while there, but I also learned a lot about bike maintenance, local herbalism, and disaster preparedness.

One of my favorite ways to spend summer in Portland is joining my community in evening bike rides š²through the city with dance breaks, bringing joy to the people. This was the LCD Soundsystem meets Daft Punk ride. šŖ© I had so much fun. Maybe Iāll see you on a future ride!

Serendipity, Flow, and Following the Nudge
Lately, Iāve been taking breaks from work by walking around my neighborhoodāgetting fresh air, clearing my head, just letting my mind wander. Today, as I walked, a friend popped into my thoughts. I wondered how she was and felt a nudge to reach out.
As I was about to head home, something in me said, Keep walking. It wasnāt a logical decisionājust a pull. I saw a path in my mindās eye, one I never take, and decided to follow it.
A few minutes later, I came across a beautifully painted sign that read: You are beautiful. It made me smile. And then, just moments after, the very friend Iād been thinking about appeared, walking towards me from a block away. She recognized me before I even realized it was her.
We caught up, and she came bearing giftsāliteral invitations, one of which I excitedly accepted for the next day.
A reminder: We are always connected. The signs, the nudges, the moments of flowātheyāre all invitations to listen, trust, and follow where weāre being led. šš¼š„°āØ

Small Wins, Big Shiftsā£ā¦

I recently discovered the Finch app, and itās been a game-changer for meāespecially compared to other ADHD apps Iāve tried. It taps into my dopamine receptors just right with cute, colorful graphics and gamification (kind of like Duolingo, which, fun fact, has kept me practicing Spanish for 823 days straight!).ā£

One of my biggest wins? Iāve been making my bed every single day for over a month! This might seem small, but Iād been avoiding it for years. The app makes it easy to build momentum with tiny, achievable goals.ā£

Beyond task tracking, Finch also checks in on how Iām feeling and offers quick, helpful activities when Iām struggling. The other day, when I got stuck in an anxiety loop, it guided me through a sensory grounding exerciseānaming three things I see, hear, and smellāfollowed by a short breathing exercise. Simple, but so effective.ā£

One feature I especially love? At the end of the weekend, it asks how I want to feel going into the new week and what I need to do to make that happen. This little ritual has been so powerful that Iāve started calling my Mondays Magic Mondays! šš»āØā£

Moral of the story? Stay curious. Keep experimenting. You never know when youāll find something that actually works for you!
