We make lovely things! Do you like things that are lovely? So do we! Decorative functional pottery made by Jenn Gauer and Meghan Radick

Our functional and decorative ceramics are produced in a collaborative process, where in most cases Jenn creates the form and Meghan decorates it. Jenn has been throwing pottery for over 15 years, and Meghan uses many skills developed during 14 years of cake decorating. Collaboration has enabled us to reach a level of quality that neither of us could achieve on our own. We inspire each other, and

The first finished cups and saucers! 😍 These are the smallest of the saucers paired with our small mug, and you know that ladybugs makes everything that much cuter. 🐞☕️ They are just so sweet I can’t even stand it! And look at how nicely they stack! I know this is only the beginning, and there are other orders I should be working on and plenty to do, but I will enjoy this new design and come back to it here and there. If you’re in the local Portland area, you can visit our storefront Glaze to see them in person. We’ll probably bring them to also!

We’ve been playing around with saucers! ☕️ We got a custom order for a cup and saucer set, and had to figure out just what size of saucer we like the most. I made the first one with a 5” diameter and went up in 1/2” steps. It’s astonishing what a big difference such a little increase can make! The smallest size is absolutely adorbs and I want to cuddle it! The biggest size has room for a spoon and a cookie, which is extremely important! Pretty sure we’re going to keep all of them because choosing a “perfect “ one is too hard.

What a fun weekend! We took a workshop from held at .johnsclay and it was so great to learn, experiment and play! Thanks for sharing your skills and tips, Meredith! Especially about using silkscreens, which we’ve struggled with and needed some insider info on how to get them to just freaking work already.

It was Intern Matchy Day! Cute overalls and matching greens: it’s like working with us can induce coordinating outfits! Today was last day with us, and we’re so proud of her and wish her the best after graduation! If you’ve brought home a berry basket with ladybugs in the last 8 months, it’s likely that she and .finley had a hand in making it. We are so fortunate to have their help!

After a couple lovely days of rest and recovery, we’re back in the studio taking stock of what pots we sold (hello, spreadsheets!) and what to do with the pots we brought back with us. We have just five pieces left in our new Berries and Flowers design, and we wanted to offer them to you first! If you’d like to purchase, please send us an email ([email protected]) and include your zip code so we can determine shipping costs.
We have:
- Large vase in Aqua, measures 8.5” tall, 5” across at the widest part, 3” opening. ⭐️$230.
- Gallery vase in Spring Pea, measures 11” tall, 5.75” at the widest part, with an oval opening that measures 4.25” x 3.5”. This one is a bit heavier at the base making it perfect for sunflowers and other weighty flowers. ⭐️$380
- Large vase in Blossom, measures 8.5” tall, 5” across at the widest part, 3” opening. ⭐️$230
- Prototype teacup in Aqua, measures 4” tall with a 3” opening. This was part of our testing process, so the underglaze colors are a little different from the finished design. ⭐️$80

Spent the entire afternoon in my yard yesterday, touching grass and telling my plants what a good job they’re doing. I have a shady corner for lily of the valley and I’m so glad I didn’t miss them this year. Last year one pink flower stalk showed up and now there are five of them! And check out this OG JaMpdx vase from over 20 years ago. Still a sweet little vase and a favorite for wee blooms.

Thank you, Ceramic Showcase! 🩷❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
We had a great time meeting new artists, reconnecting with friends, talking with customers about how we make our work, and wearing totes adorbs matching outfits! My brain is too tired to do math, but I think this might be our best Showcase yet. 👍👍 And also a sad one for the memory books because our gallery piece got broken. 👎👎 Swipe to the end for the whole scene. All the people are fine, thankfully, and it’s just clay. Nothing like a big dramatic smash to silence an entire convention hall!

Our new Berries and Flowers series includes some really sweet pieces, including berry bowls that I’m SO excited to see people using with berries fresh from the farmers market! 🍓🫐
