Hi, Everyone, Gemma here. As of 9/1 I have begun the process of booking January through March 2022. I first have to work on accommodating existing, and repeat clients, with a focus on larger pieces. If you have emailed this summer about booking, Katia, my assistant will be in touch over the coming weeks. We previously had some issues with the new website contact form. Those have been fixed! If you submitted something, and haven’t gotten a reply, it may have been during the time the site wasn’t working. Please resend if you feel like we missed you!

For new clients, please, be patient. I have updated the FAQ section on my website with my new booking system. If you are interested in working with me I will start booking new people for April through June on January 1st 2022.

This new system is very different than how I have done things previously. This is due to the many changes Covid-19 has created in its wake. It is not possible for me to book a whole year in advance. Booking three months ahead is a much more reasonable and healthy goal for balance in my life. I appreciate your patience as I navigate this new way of doing things! Take care of one another and stay safe. Also, That’s photo magic, I don’t have my own logo tattooed on my palm. Hahaha. I like myself, but not thaaaaaaat much.

I adore these meaningful talismans so much. This is a vintage enamel bowl, and a rainbow smelt. These simple line work pieces feel really ancient, and tribal to me. I’ve known Liz since growing up days, she’s a vintage seller, hospitality professional, and a badass mama parenting in a pandemic. Happy to help her do something nice for herself! 🖤

I am doing a fundraiser for the month of September. You can preorder this archival 8x10 print, THE LIGHT OF LOVE all month. I first met Masuma Sayed while she was a server at Saigon Vietnamese Restaurant In Portland. We connected over our pierced noses, ad her light and kindness were so bright. When she told me she was from Afghanistan, there was this moment of knowing, a silent flash of pain and deep trauma. But she changed the subject and went about her job. As Afghanistan fell, she came to mind immediately. Recently featured in The Press Herald, I was heartened and heartbroken to read her story. I contacted the author of the article, Kelley Bouchard, and she got me in contact with Masuma. We have talked, and she has given her blessing for this fundraiser. ALL PROCEEDS will be donated to her and her family’s efforts to save those who are still in Afghanistan. I’m a women, a former food employee, and I have felt so angry and sad and crushed by the news of the world. Help me make a difference for a wonderful woman. Link in comments to purchase!

I’m getting ready for a very busy fall at the shop. I’m really looking forward to working on more custom pieces like this one from earlier in the year. COVID is very much still here, and more dangerous and contagious than ever. I continue to adhere to Maine’s protocol, I require masks, and am working shorter sessions. I have also made the decision that I will not tattoo anyone who is unvaccinated. This is non-negotiable, and not up for comment. It is for the safety of you, me, my own immune compromised family, and the many unvaccinated children in my other client’s families. Be safe. ❤️

Hi out there! For the rest of August I am not in the shop much. We have been catching up with A LOT of family we haven’t seen for almost two years. Booking for new clients is still currently on hold. I have a new booking system and schedule in the works, I will be announcing this all very soon. Until then, BE EXCELLENT TO EACH OTHER.
