Introducing!

MisMonsta! One of the four horsemen of Offbeat Belly Dance.

Mismonsta
Mismonsta has been dubbed the "Dominican Dancing Diosa '' and has been performing the art of Bellydance since 2004 and her own fusion style of "Belly Drag" since 2014.

While she is currently a solo performer, her beginnings were with the prolific San Diego troupe "Atash Maya." When she relocated to Portland, Mismonsta started her solo career within the Drag and Burlesque communities appearing in shows such as Booklover’s Burlesque, Boyuerism, Glittering Geeks, Azucar, It's Bolivia!, and many more. She is also a co-producer of the long running community show "Offbeat Bellydance", as well as a co-producer of "Umbrae Noctis", a 2-day darkly decadent burlesque festival in its inaugural year, debuting this November (tickets on sale now!).

Introducing: The Lady Jasmine Rain. She has been a part of Offbeat since the very near beginning, and the venue whisperer making sure that Offbeat in on a stage somewhere once a month for over 16 years! It is now 13 days till her Birthday and just over a week until Offbeat Belly Dance has their awesome and amazing showcase at Misfits Bar + Lounge on Saturday, September 21st!

You do not want to miss this wild expose of emotions displayed on the stage for this wild crafted selection of songs to move through the pathos of this year. And as I type this I am also working on a brand new costume - so come for the fun - and all the other performers and here's to changing persons whilst promoting! YIYIYIYI VIVA LA OFFBEAT!

Offbeat is excited to Welcome Back Elinore to the stage:

Elinore Edge is a seasoned bellydance performing artist and instructor based in Portland, Oregon.
She is highly certified in the Salimpour School, a regular performer in Bal Anat and Jillina's Bellydance Evolution Experience, and is the head house dancer at Portland's Marrakesh Restaurant.
She teaches weekly bellydance classes at the Vitalidad Movement Arts Center and may have even brought some friends to dance with tonight. Be transported to days of belly jewels, Bond girls, and bellydance disco fever with Elinore!

Rakiya has been dancing for the past 20 years. Rakiya specializes in America Cabaret and is very passionate about double veil and fusion.
Rakiya is co-hosting Aladden Cafe this September 28th, 2024, and in December. Rakiya is also co-hosting the Wild Rose Belly Dance Competition that is coming this March 29th and 30th, 2025. Rakiya loves sharing the spotlight with her dance sisters.
