Agrapart - Blanc de blancs brilliance from Avize. Some of the most amazing Chardonnay you’ll have, these organically produced wines are not to be missed. Vibrant, powerful citrus and chalk - the very essence of the Côte des Blancs. On offer this week are the superb 2014 vintages of Mineral and Avizoise and the unique Complantée, a co-ferment of the 3 main grapes plus Arbanne, Petit Meslier, & Pinot Blanc. The glory days of wide availability (and more down to earth prices) are long gone, but they are still worth every penny when you can find them. Thrilled to have Champagne Cazé-Thibaut available in OR! The very talented Fabien Cazé is crafting superb, terroir-expressive, vibrant organically produced wines from Vallée de la Marne. I first encountered these in Champagne, and a bottle or two of his was frequent “suitcase wine” (remember international travel?) - I was so excited about them I wanted to bring some back to share with friends. His all-Meunier calling card, “Naturellement”, will please any Meunier devotee (and probably even convert a few who aren’t already). If there were enough of it (and if we were serving at the bar right now), it would be a frequent glass pour for sure. In fact, that’s the only downside to liking these wines - with such small production to go around, these need to be snapped up at any opportunity. In addition to Naturellement, I am also offering *very* limited quantities of his 3 single-parcel vintage wines, including the BdB Les Fourches (pictured here).
