Embodied Life Therapy Center
Trauma & neurodivergent lens to healing - BSP, NARM, EMDR, IFS, Somatic, Art & Music, KAP
You Deserve a Therapy Room Where You Don't Perform
Every other room in your life asks you to be something. Productive. Composed. Easy to deal with. Agreeable.
Therapy should be the one place where none of that applies.
At ELTC, individual therapy with Jennifer is built for people who are tired of managing how they come across. The ones who masked so long they forgot what's underneath. The ones who held everyone else's emotional weight and quietly dropped their own.
Jennifer uses EMDR, Brainspotting, IFS, NARM, and somatic therapies because the work that changes things doesn't stay in your head. It moves through your nervous system, your body, the parts of you that learned to shut down a long time ago. Sessions are 50 minutes via telehealth. Available in CA, OR, WA, DC, and MD. Out-of-network, with superbills provided for potential reimbursement.
You've spent enough energy performing wellness. This is the space where you get to be honest instead.

What Is Brainspotting?👩💻
You've probably heard of talk therapy, but what happens when words aren't enough to reach what's underneath?
Brainspotting is a brain-body therapy that uses specific eye positions to access where trauma and emotional pain are stored in the brain. It works beneath the conscious mind, reaching deeper layers that talk therapy alone may not touch.
It's especially effective for trauma, anxiety, PTSD, and even performance issues, and it works in a focused, gentle way that honors your nervous system's pace.

How Jennifer Works With Trauma🤔
Traditional talk therapy can help you understand a pattern. But understanding alone doesn't always change how your body responds.
Jennifer specializes in modalities that work beneath the surface:
→ EMDR helps your brain reprocess traumatic memories so they lose their emotional charge.
→ Brainspotting uses specific eye positions to access where pain is stored in the brain, following your system's lead rather than directing it.
→ IFS helps you understand the different parts of yourself, especially the protectors that developed in response to difficult experiences.
→ NARM addresses developmental trauma, the kind that comes from what was missing rather than what happened.
She brings these together based on what you need in the moment, not a rigid protocol. Sessions are 50 minutes via telehealth, available in CA, WA, OR, DC, and MD.

Talk Therapy Helped. But Something Still Feels Stuck.
You've done talk therapy. Maybe for years. And it helped, it did. But there's something underneath the talking that hasn't shifted.
Your body still braces. You still react before you can think. You still carry it, even when your mind says you've processed it. That's because some things live deeper than language.
At ELTC, we use methods built to reach those places.
Brainspotting follows where your brain and body lead, accessing what's stored beneath conscious awareness.
EMDR helps your brain reprocess traumatic memories so they stop running the show.
IFS helps you understand the different parts of yourself that are protecting you, often in ways that no longer fit.
Somatic therapy works directly with what your body is holding.
NARM addresses the kind of trauma that comes from what was missing, not just what happened. You don't have to keep thinking your way through this.
There are other ways in.

You Deserve a Provider Who Gets Your Brain🤗
If you've ever left a medical appointment feeling like your provider was checking boxes instead of listening, Julia Dodd is a different experience.
She's a family nurse practitioner who specializes in ADHD and autism assessments, ADHD medication management, gender-affirming hormone care, and KAP evaluation and prescribing.
She's also neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ herself. That combination matters. It means your appointments aren't rushed.
Your questions are welcome.
Your experience isn't something you have to justify or prove.
And your care plan is built around how you live, not around a standardized checklist.
You shouldn't have to educate your provider on how your brain works. Julia already speaks the language.

Every Part of You Has a Purpose🌿
That inner critic? It's trying to protect you.
The part that shuts down? It learned that was the safest option.
The part that overworks? It's trying to prove you're enough.
IFS therapy helps you understand these parts, not fight them, and gently release them from the roles they've been stuck in.
When that happens, something shifts: you start leading from a place of self-compassion instead of survival. You don't have to silence parts of yourself to heal.
You just have to welcome them home.

Two Companies. One Mission. Different Doors.
ELTC and NeuroInclusive Training & Collaboration (NIT&C) are sister companies founded by Jennifer and Julia Dodd. They serve different audiences with the same core belief: neurodivergent brains deserve environments built for them.
ELTC is the clinical side. Individual therapy, couples therapy, ADHD and autism assessments, medication management, KAP, and community groups for neurodivergent adults.
NIT&C is the systems side. Training, workshops, consulting, and coaching for organizations, teams, universities, and leaders who want to move from awareness to real structural inclusion.
Whether you're an individual looking for affirming care or an organization ready to change how you work, there's a door for you. Both companies serve clients nationwide and worldwide.

Why We Built ELTC Around the Neurodiversity Paradigm
ELTC wasn't built to check a box. It was built because both Jennifer and Julia know what it's like to move through a healthcare system that wasn't designed for brains like theirs.
Jennifer spent years in a field that pathologized the very traits that made her a great therapist.
Julia pursued her NP because she saw how much was missing in the care available to neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ people.
When we say ELTC is neurodivergent-affirming, we mean it structurally.
Our assessments are built for adults who were missed.
Our therapy integrates sensory, identity, and nervous system work.
Our medication management respects individual neurology.
Our community group exists because healing doesn't only happen in a therapy room.
Every provider on our team brings specialized training and the kind of understanding that only comes from living it. That's the foundation everything here is built on.

Tired of Explaining Yourself Just to Be Understood?
You know that thing where you start sharing something about how your brain works, and halfway through you realize you're spending more energy translating the experience than you are processing it?
That's exhausting. And it's one of the loneliest parts of being neurodivergent in a neurotypical world.
Our community group exists so you don't have to do that. It's a biweekly, 90-minute space on Zoom for late-identified autistic and ADHD adults, facilitated by Jennifer Dodd, LCSW, who is herself a late-identified AuDHDer. Eight people max.
No translating. No performing. Just showing up as you are with people who get it without the explanation.
$100 per session. Biweekly. Online.

NARM: Healing Developmental Trauma❤️🩹
Not all trauma comes from a single event. Sometimes it's the accumulation of what was missing, attunement, safety, connection, during your earliest years.
NARM (NeuroAffective Relational Model) is a therapy designed specifically for complex and developmental trauma. It integrates top-down (cognitive) and bottom-up (somatic) approaches to help you understand how early survival patterns show up in your adult life, and gently shift them.
It's especially helpful for people who've always felt like something was "off" but couldn't point to one specific event.
